Rep. Jim Jordan to Newsmax TV: Election Debate Would Be 'Healthy' (Newsmax TV's "Greg Kelly Reports")

Needing just one House member and one senator to challenge the certification of the Electoral College in a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, there should be a "healthy" debate on election integrity, according to Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Newsmax TV.
"I think you're going to see several members of the House who are going to be willing to step forward," Jordan told Wednesday's "Greg Kelly Reports." "Let's let the process play out."
Jordan added to host Greg Kelly a rejection of the media downplaying the challenging of the electors, saying "we know we can," adding even late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote so in Bush v. Gore in 2000.
"Frankly, a debate on the House floor would be good; that'd be healthy," Jordan said, adding praise to Newsmax coverage of election irregularities. "The mainstream press hasn't covered what you guys have. The mainstream press hasn't covered these hearings.
"This would be a chance for the country to see the real debate," he said, noting it is still a "wait and see" if a senator will stand with House Republicans on contesting the electors.
Jordan noted there are maximum pressure campaigns from Democrats and Joe Biden backers to squash election integrity questions, making it challenging for a senator to come forward.
"Why are they afraid of a debate?" Jordan lamented, adding, "the country doesn't know about it because the mainstream press won't cover it; Democrats don't want to talk about it.
"If it takes a debate on the House floor on Jan. 6, I'm all for having that debate," he concluded.
