Rep. Chuck Fleischmann to Newsmax: Biden Has Taken 'Wrecking Ball' to US Energy (Newsmax/"Saturday Report")

By Eric Mack | Saturday, 08 October 2022 12:33 PM EDT

President Joe Biden's war on oil has created an unnecessary energy crisis and taken a "wrecking ball" to American energy production and the economy, according to Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Tenn., on Newsmax.

"From day one when Biden left his speech, where he was going to be for all Americans, he went back to the Oval Office and took a wrecking ball to our energy policy – from the Keystone pipeline, which he basically stopped and now it is dead, to thwarting domestic oil production," Fleischmann told "Saturday Report."

"I want to listeners to know the United States has such abundant oil reserves that we can actually dwarf the Saudi oil fields. We've got it in this country, but what he did he put us in a very difficult position domestically and a crisis arose."

The situation has come to a head recently as Biden went to Saudi Arabia this summer to get them to pump more oil – to replace the oil production he slowed in the U.S. – only to have OPEC+ do the opposite: Cut oil production further, Fleischmann lamented to host Rita Cosby.

"Then you see just how weak he is internationally when OPEC could have stepped up this week, Rita, what did they do? They laughed in his face," Fleischmann continued. "They basically insulted the United States, and they agreed to cut oil reserves by another 2 million [barrels] a day.

"It's outrageous, so he's failing on all fronts. He's failing the consumers and he's going to feel it at the pumps. The American consumer is outraged. We've seen gas prices go up and up again. It doesn't have to be that way."

Former President Trump had the U.S. pumping oil and energy independent, if not energy dominant, Fleischmann noted.

"Under President Trump we had abundance," he said. "We had domestic abundance. We were exporting oil. This is a disaster."

Biden's only answer to increasing oil supply has been to use up the Strategic Petroleum Reserve that was topped off by former President Donald Trump – to the objection of critics – Fleischmann continued,

"His attack on the strategic oil reserve is outrageous," he said. "It leaves us further vulnerable at a time when the world is dangerous, and we don't need to be vulnerable."

Biden is further stepping in it with "dangerous" rhetoric about nuclear armageddon, too, according to Fleischmann.

"When you're dealing with nuclear warfare and nuclear brinkmanship, we've got to be extremely careful that rhetoric matters, that talk matters," he warned. "We cannot have this level of irresponsibility. The president needs to be called out about this and we really need to start focusing on this. This is dangerous.

"The world is a dangerous place. We have several nuclear capable countries. Not all of them are our friends, obviously, so this rhetoric from Joe Biden is dangerous. It's wrong. You need to apologize."

Midterm voters in the middle have to be seeing the benefits of turning the country back over to Republicans in Congress, Fleischmann concluded.

"The president's party is in disarray," he said.

"From day one, Biden has taken direct wrecking ball to this economy to our oil, to our natural resources. It's ridiculous."

Rep. Pat Fallon to Newsmax: Peace Through Strength Now Armageddon From Weakness

Rep. Pat Fallon to Newsmax: Peace Through Strength Now Armageddon From Weakness (Newsmax/"Wake Up America")

By Eric Mack | Saturday, 08 October 2022 11:50 AM EDT

The eras of Ronald Reagan's and former President Donald Trump's peace through strength have given way to President Joe Biden's "armageddon" through weakness, according to Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, on Newsmax.

"This is the difference: President Trump for four years projected strength," Fallon told Saturday's "Wake Up America" days after Biden admitted the world is closer to "armageddon" than before. "Vladimir Putin didn't invade any countries, and he did under Bush and Obama and Biden, but not Trump.

"And North Korea knew because he made it very clear to them that, you know, a reign of fury would descend upon them if they got aggressive with their neighbors, so they didn't.

"So there is a major difference."

And the media's decades of complicity in covering for Democrats has led to the branding of strong Republicans as warmongers, but both Reagan and Trump were strong peacekeeping presidents, showing strength to our key world rivals, Fallon told host Carl Higbie. Suggestions Trump would get the world in World War III have been more apparent under Biden, Higbie added.

"They said that about Reagan, too, if you remember, Carl, because any president that projects strength and happens to be a Republican is going to start World War III, and in fact, they want to prevent it

"And the Soviet Union fell because of Reagan and you know Putin and others were kept in check because of Trump."

Report: Trump Wants 2 Seized Folders Excluded From DOJ Probe

Report: Trump Wants 2 Seized Folders Excluded From DOJ Probe

(Newsmax/"Wake Up America")

By Charles Kim | Saturday, 08 October 2022 11:17 AM EDT

Former President Donald Trump wants two folders seized during the FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida withheld from the Department of Justice's criminal probe regarding his handling of documents, The Guardian reported Friday.

Citing filings in the court case, The Guardian said the former president wants "two red folders" containing correspondence with the National Archives and Records Administration and three "signing sheets" excluded from material turned over to the criminal investigation.

Raymond J. Dearie, the federal judge serving as special master in the case, said in an order Friday that some 30 documents are to be turned over to the "case team" by Oct. 10 because there is no assertion by Trump of either executive or attorney-client privilege.

He also ordered that "Filter B" materials be returned to Trump by Oct. 10, but the order did not say how many documents that entailed.

Remaining "Filter A and Filter C" materials will be reviewed by Dearie and a report made as to whether they contain privileged documents, the order said.

The next telephone status conference on the case is scheduled for Oct. 18.

The Guardian report said that Trump is trying to withhold folders containing letters from NARA and is also asserting executive privilege over more than 35 documents of the "president's calls," according to the report.

Reuters reported Tuesday that Trump is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in the case and strike down a lower court ruling that is stopping Dearie from reviewing 100 documents marked as "classified."

The Atlanta-based 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals also is allowing the DOJ to examine disputed documents while the special master evaluation is taking place, contradicting trial Judge Aileen Cannon's ruling that the DOJ not use disputed documents in the criminal probe until after the review was complete.

In their filing in the case Tuesday, Trump's attorneys said Dearie should be able to "determine whether documents bearing classification markings are in fact classified, and regardless of classification, whether those records are personal records or presidential records," according to Reuters.

"[DOJ] attempted to criminalize a document management dispute and now vehemently objects to a transparent process that provides much-needed oversight," Trump's legal team said in the documents.

The appeal to the Supreme Court will be reviewed by Justice Clarence Thomas, who reviews emergency appeals from the 11th Circuit and has requested a response from the DOJ by Oct. 11.

Report: Trump Oil Policies Would Produce 2-3M More Barrels, Outpacing OPEC Cut

Report: Trump Oil Policies Would Produce 2-3M More Barrels, Outpacing OPEC Cut (Newsmax)

By Luca Cacciatore | Friday, 07 October 2022 10:42 PM EDT

A new study indicates that President Joe Biden's energy policies have cost the U.S. nearly $100 billion in annual output, leaving millions more barrels that could have been produced.

The Committee to Unleash Prosperity — a group founded by economists Steve Forbes, Art Laffer, and Stephen Moore — discovered a trend while reviewing oil and gas production under the previous two administrations.

Between 2 and 3 million more barrels of oil would be produced each day if former President Donald Trump had a second term, with another 20 to 25 billion cubic feet of natural gas produced as well, according to the report.

In addition, continuing Trump's policies would make domestic oil production far outpace the current OPEC cut, with researchers claiming that not a single barrel of oil would need to be sold from the U.S. strategic reserves.

"After many humiliating months of President Biden begging Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries to please increase their oil production, OPEC countries have decided to do just the opposite: they are cutting back on supply by two million barrels a day to drive UP the price of oil," Moore stated.

"These high prices at the pump are in no small part attributable to Biden's hostility to American oil and gas production," he concluded, adding that the radical environmentalist movement has led to substantial divestment in oil and gas development.

The analysis comes amid Biden's indication on Wednesday he would continue to release oil from the nation's reserves after OPEC revealed it would slash production by nearly 2 million barrels per day, Reuters reported.

Body Language Expert to Newsmax: Trump ‘Confident,’ Biden in Decline

Body Language Expert to Newsmax: Trump 'Confident,' Biden in Decline

(Newsmax/"Eric Bolling The Balance")

By Charles Kim | Friday, 07 October 2022 10:36 PM EDT

Body language expert Greg Hartley told Newsmax Friday that videos of former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden tell two different tales: one of confidence and another of a decline.

"The only good thing about these guys staying around until the only thing older than them is paintings is that we get to watch them forever," Hartley said during "Eric Bolling The Balance" Friday. "We've been watching Joe Biden for decades, so we know that's not the Joe Biden of yesterday. We know he was more boisterous. He moved his body more. His arms are hanging down. People who age use their shoulders less."

While Hartley said that Biden is now just a "shadow" of who he used to be, Trump appearing at a recent rally was "confident" among a crowd of supporters, catching a hat and marker to sign it with for a supporter and then throwing it back.

"I think what we see is that he's confident, and it's a victory," he said. "He's in front of his supporters. He caught something. It looked good. It looked like his timing was everything. But this is not a young man, and his timing is everything. And he is catching everything and doing what he should."

According to the biography on his website, Hartley has worked as an interrogator and language support for U.S. Army Special Forces during operation Desert Storm and has written 10 books on body language and human behavior.

Since leaving the service, Hartley has worked as a business improvement executive and general manager in the private sector. He now works on finding weaknesses in businesses while preventing deception in the process.

Hartley said that the country would be in a different place today if the Biden of the past were president now.

"He's certainly not the guy he was 20 years ago, 30 years ago, 40 years ago," he said. "If he were that guy, [we would have] been [in] a different place than we are today."

Jon Voight to Newsmax: Unlike Biden, Trump 'Gained the Respect' of World Leaders

(Newsmax/"Eric Bolling The Balance")

By Luca Cacciatore | Friday, 07 October 2022 09:31 PM EDT

Award-winning actor Jon Voight told Newsmax on Friday that former President Donald Trump "gained the respect" of world leaders — even our enemies — while he was in office.

However, during an interview on "Eric Bolling The Balance," Voight said that respect has dwindled at incredible speed since Joe Biden became president.

"This man Donald Trump, who was our president, not only did he build an economy that is as strong as any ever seen in this country, but we had a certain kind of peace that came from his understanding of the leadership around the world," Voight stated.

"He was able to even make friends, or at least gain the respect, of all the major leadership and even the most dreaded ones when he came into office," he added.

But Voight described Biden and his administration as having an "agenda so far removed from anything healthy for our country," and said the president's recent comments warning of "nuclear Armageddon" are not far from the truth.

"What we have to do is we have to try to find ways to reconstitute our country's values, our position in the world; and our leadership certainly has to change," he said.

Voight's statement comes after Biden warned Thursday at a private fundraising event in New York that Russian President Vladimir Putin using nuclear weapons could send the planet into a third world war.

"He is not joking when he talks about the potential use of tactical nuclear weapons," Biden said of Putin to the crowd. "I don't think there's any such thing as an ability to easily use a tactical nuclear weapon and not end up with Armageddon."

A Super PAC headed by top Trump allies has made it’s first ad buy of the 2022 midterms.

MAGA Inc. is a political action committee that was reportedly formed two months before the November 8th midterm elections.

Reports on Thursday said that MAGA Inc. has placed ad buys in Ohio and Pennsylvania totaling more than $400,000. In Ohio, the PAC initially targeted the Columbus and Cleveland markets, while in Pennsylvania, the PAC targeted Pittsburgh.

The purchase comes in what is expected to be some of the most competitive races of the midterms. Ohio and Pennsylvania are two of the most expensive battleground races and will help determine the balance of the Senate for the next two years.

Reports indicate that the group will make more ad buys as the midterms approach.

Donald Trump is continuing to hold rallies, tele-rallies and fundraisers for his favorite Republican candidates. This weekend, the 45th president is set to hold rallies in Nevada and Arizona.

Trump Super PAC Reserves Millions in Airtime in Key States

Associated Press Friday, 07 October 2022 07:25 PM EDT

Former President Donald Trump is finally opening his checkbook, reserving millions of dollars in airtime for ads to bolster his endorsed candidates in key midterm races just one month before Election Day.

Trump's newly-formed MAGA Inc. super PAC has so far placed reservations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Arizona, according to the ad tracking firm AdImpact. Additional spending is planned in Nevada and Georgia, according to a person familiar with the effort who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the buys before they were made public.

The Georgia spending is particularly notable, coming as Trump's hand-picked Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker's campaign has been rocked by reports alleging he encouraged and paid for a woman’s 2009 abortion. Walker, a longtime football icon, backed a national ban on abortion during his primary, and has said he does not believe in exceptions even in cases of rape, incest or when the health of a pregnant woman is at risk.

On Friday, the super PAC booked $1 million worth of airtime in Arizona, with ads set to begin airing Saturday, according to AdImpact. That follows reservations of $1.34 million in Ohio and $829,000 in Pennsylvania placed Thursday, AdImpact said in a tweet.

MAGA Inc. spokesman Steven Cheung declined to say how much additional spending Trump had planned beyond the initial reservations. "We’re not going to telegraph our spending but it’s a significant buy," he said.

The super PAC's first two ads are negative spots aimed at turning voters off the Democratic rivals of Trump-endorsed candidates. The first attacks Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman, who is running against Republican nominee Mehmet Oz, by portraying Fetterman as soft on crime.

"John Fetterman wants ruthless killers, muggers and rapists back on our streets," it charges, labeling the lieutenant governor "dangerous."

The second targets Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Tim Ryan for voting with his party as a member of Congress, using footage from a speech in which he joked that he would “suck up a little bit” to Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, "his future boss." Ryan, who is running against Trump-endorsed Republican JD Vance, has run as centrist trying to win back the Rust Belt voters who have soured on the party in recent years.

The ads released so far notably do not feature or even mention Trump, who remains a deeply divisive figure, but one who is extremely popular with the Republican base.

Trump had been under growing pressure to finally start spending on midterm races after playing an outsize role in the primaries and pushing his favored candidates. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, in particular, had urged candidates with Trump’s support to ask him to open his checkbook heading into the race's final stretch.

The notoriously thrifty former president's Save America PAC, his main fundraising vehicle since leaving office, ended August with more than $90 million in the bank. Trump aides have discussed transferring a portion of that money to MAGA Inc., which could later be used to support a presidential campaign should Trump decide to run again, though campaign finance experts are divided on the legality of such a move.

Trump has continued to tease another presidential run, telling supporters at a rally in Warren, Michigan, last weekend, “We’ll be talking about great things hopefully in the not so distant future."

"Oh I think you're going to be happy," he went on to say. "But first we have to win a historic victory for the Republican Party this November."

Biden Orders Limits on Drone Strikes Outside ‘Conventional War Zones’

Biden Orders Limits on Drone Strikes Outside 'Conventional War Zones'

(Newsmax/"Wake Up America")

By Charles Kim | Friday, 07 October 2022 06:27 PM EDT

President Joe Biden signed a classified policy Friday that limits the use of drones for counterterrorism strikes outside of "conventional war zones," The New York Times reports.

According to the report, which cites an anonymous "senior administration official," the new policy restrictions were sent to the Pentagon and CIA on Friday that seeks to lower the number of strikes and requires Biden approve of any names added to a "list" of targets that could be in the crosshairs of "direct action."

Since taking office in January 2021, Biden has moved to limit drone strikes overseas, tightening up limits in effect during the administration of former President Donald Trump, who gave commanders in the field more discretion in using the strikes, moving back to more centralized control as it was during former President Barack Obama's tenure.

The Washington Post reported in September 2021 that while previous administrations were operating from a more "blanket authorization" policy, he sought to "rebalance" war powers between the executive and legislative branches of government.

"At the beginning of the administration, President Biden established new interim guidance concerning the United States' use of military force and related national security operations," The Post reported National Security Council spokeswoman Emily Horne saying at the time.

In 2019, The Post reported that 120 civilians were killed in drone strikes in the previous year, and a Director of National Intelligence report showed 473 strikes during Obama's administration killing around 2,500 "combatants" and 100 civilians between January 2009 and December 2015.

That report included only the number of strikes "outside" actively hostile areas such as Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

The new restrictions are also in line with previous rule changes Biden made in March 2021 that set the rules for such strikes and commando raids in some conflict zones, U.S. News and World reported at the time.

Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby said at the time that the "interim guidance" was given "to ensure the president has full visibility on proposed, significant actions, which the National Security Council will review."

"It's too early to come to grips with what reality is going to be, or the impact it's going to have on specific parts of the world or on specific terrorist groups," Kirby said in the report at the time. "It's interim. It's not meant to be permanent, and it doesn't mean it's a cessation" of these strikes or missions, he added. "The authorities in some parts of the world are going to get visibility at the National Security Council."

A Federal Appeals Court has ruled against an Obama-era immigration policy that protects “DREAMers.”

On Wednesday, a three-judge panel in New Orleans, Louisiana ruled that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program violates federal law. The court affirmed a 2021 ruling by a Texas district court.

The DACA program provides administrative reliefs and deportation protection to immigrants who entered the United States unlawfully as children. Those in the program can apply for a driver’s license, social security number and work permits, as opposed to a legal path of citizenship.

The Texas ruling stated the program was a case of presidential authority overreach due to Congress not giving the executive branch the power to grant mass reprieves to “DREAMers.”
To note, the court did not cancel the program for current recipients. The program is allowed to remain as is but it cannot receive new applications while it is under review.

New Trump-aligned PAC Targets Pennsylvania, Ohio Senate Races

Two new advertisements by Make America Great Again, Inc. aim at the opponents of former President Donald Trump-backed Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania and J.D. Vance in Ohio.

The political action committee, linked to top Trump allies, was founded on Sept. 23 to complement the existing Save America PAC. It will also likely serve as the former president's primary vehicle for spending money ahead of the November midterm elections.

On Friday morning, the first glimpse of what the group has to offer was made public with an advertisement tearing into Oz's Democrat rival for U.S. Senate, Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman.

The ad brings to light the story of John Brookins, a man currently serving a life sentence for murdering his then-girlfriend's mother with a pair of scissors. Recently, a movement has pushed for Brookins' release, alleging that new DNA evidence can clear him of the crime.

But Fetterman was the only member of Pennsylvania's Board of Pardons to vote for his clemency last year based on those claims, despite admitting to the Bucks County Courier Times that his "testimony wasn't particularly strong."

"John Fetterman wants ruthless killers, muggers, and rapists back on our streets. And he wants them back now," the ad states. "John Fetterman is dangerous."

Shortly after, the group released another ad highlighting a blunder by Ohio Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan, who is currently running against Vance for the U.S. Senate.

Taking specific aim at the congressman's perceived image as being a "moderate," the ad highlights Ryan's voting record and a comment made earlier this year when he said he's "got to suck up" to his "future boss," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

"Tim Ryan voted the liberal party line 100% of the time — giving stimulus checks to illegal immigrants, hitting middle-class families with tax hikes, creating sky-high inflation, [and] driving our economy to the brink of recession," MAGA Inc. claims.

Hayek: Women Will Rightfully Reject Left’s Anti-Woman Agenda

Hayek: Women Will Rightfully Reject Left's Anti-Woman Agenda anti-woman agenda of the left (Artem Stepanov/Dreamstime.com)

At a recent event, a local media reporter asked gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake her stance on abortion — a purportedly "taboo" topic for conservatives since the reversal, by the U.S. Supreme Court, of Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973) with its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

Kari’s response was quick, "Let me tell you where Katie Hobb stands. She supports abortion up until birth and after birth. She supports if a baby survives a botched abortion, that the baby die on a cold metal tray."

Kari Lake isn’t wrong. Late-term taxpayer-funded abortion — carried out when a baby can feel pain and distress — is championed by the radical left.

They push on-demand abortions rather than innovative solutions that support women in fulfilling their greatest potential as mothers, or providing the necessary support to pursue options such as adoption or foster care.

These lawmakers, as well as celebrities, advocate for abortion on demand and perpetuate the notion that women cannot fulfill their professional aspirations if they allow motherhood to get in the way.

Growing up, my generation was taught that women were meant to shatter glass ceilings, to "lean in" and take their seat at the table.

Women can have it all!

But today, we are experiencing a different kind of reality where the strong, pro-woman movement is under attack. As a woman, the unique qualities contributing to and perpetuating life are being stripped away.

As a parent, it's a fight to protect our children physically and figuratively.

The Biden administration, which has been empowered by the radical left, has waged war on women and families.

As a millennial mom of five young children — four girls and one boy — let me share with you exactly what this means:

My daughters might have to compete physically against biological males.

If you are uncomfortable with that insane possibility, you will be labeled a bigot by the radical left. But it’s bigger than this. It’s the invasion of a woman’s — or a girl’s — privacy in restrooms, locker rooms, classrooms, and beyond.

Our children are being sexualized in the classroom with an agenda created by the national teachers’ unions and reinforced by extreme-left school board members.

This includes being exposed to transgender literature and a radical agenda, to secretly transition children without the parent’s knowledge or consent.

As parents demand answers from these school boards, they along with the national teachers’ union label parents "domestic terrorists."

It’s frightening what a self-assured, narcissistic political movement can do.

For a movement long focused on gender, the left now refuses to acknowledge what a woman even is.

On the second day of her confirmation hearings, U.S. Supreme Court Justice-nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson repeatedly declined to offer a definition of "woman."

Instead, our special, God-given identity is reduced to terms like "chest feeders" and "birthing persons."

It's almost as though the radical left prefers to strip away the dignity of life and the beauty of feminism in an attempt to devalue life itself.

It’s tough enough now for American women.

In recent months, the cost of living has increased by more than 30%.

Imagine single mothers out there; what opportunities are they able to pursue?

Who in Washington, D.C., looks out for them?!

With respectg to the formula crisis, instead of finding a solution, the Biden administration told moms to "call your pediatrician."

Yet, the Biden administration prioritized formula to be sent to the border.

Crime rates are skyrocketing, and the left is making petty theft immune from prosecution.

Giant corporations aren’t feeling that hit; make no mistake — this is a directed attack on small businesses, of which 12 million are women-owned.

Fentanyl is flooding through our borders and is now the leading cause of death among young Americans, harming American families.

According to the America First Policy Institute, annual drug overdoses topped 100,000 for the first time last year.

It’s quite simple, President Biden and the radical left have warped The American Dream into this country’s nightmare.

Americans need to demand answers:

  1. Is it OK to sexualize children?
  2. Is it OK to allow abortion in the 7th, 8th, or even 9th month when a baby can experience pain and distress?
  3. Is it OK to keep our borders open, allowing human trafficking and drugs to flow into our neighborhoods?
  4. Is it OK for our communities to be terrorized because many on the left want to defund law enforcement?

Women will define the future of our country.

We deserve respect and acknowledgment that who we are matters and is valued.

But we also deserve answers, and it is our responsibility to ensure we support leaders who honor women, families, and children. Demanding answers and enforcing accountability is how we save America.

Dick Morris to Newsmax: Biden Trying to ‘Wag the Dog’ With Nuke Warning

Dick Morris to Newsmax: Biden Trying to 'Wag the Dog' With Nuke Warning (Newsmax/"National Report")

By Sandy Fitzgerald | Friday, 07 October 2022 01:29 PM EDT

President Joe Biden is going for an "October surprise" with an attempt to "wag the dog" by warning about a "nuclear Armageddon," to distract Americans from problems at home under his administration, political analyst and author Dick Morris said on Newsmax Friday.

"Well, it's Halloween, so the October surprise is right here," Morris, the author of "The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback," said on Newsmax's "National Report," I warned about this in my book and I've been amplifying it on your show and other shows for the last week or two."

Biden on Thursday, speaking at a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said the risk of nuclear "Armageddon" is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons."

"I predict in this book that he's going to wag the dog," Morris said Friday. "He's going to try to distract attention from inflation and the problems we have by warning about nuclear weapons in Russia."

Morris acknowledged that Biden's warnings "may be legitimate," but the timing shows that "he's trying to do this to jam the election message so nobody pays attention to inflation or the border."

Meanwhile, Morris said that there was an "enormous" action during Thursday night's debates in Arizona, where Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly squared off against his GOP challenger, Blake Masters, with Masters "massively" winning the showdown.

"It was unbelievable and particularly interesting that Masters won the argument about abortion," said Morris. "It's the first time in this campaign that a Republican has effectively answered those attacks."

Morris said that Masters argued that he supports Arizona's law on abortion, which does allow the procedure up to 15 weeks of pregnancy, which "answers the arguments of the Democrats" who say Republicans are the extremists on abortion.

Democrats, though, favor abortion up to the 40th week, Masters argued, leaving Kelly with "nothing to say," said Morris. "It was the most amazing wipeout."

Morris said to remember that three races will determine the outcome of the Senator GOP majority, and he used the acronym "MOW" to describe them, meaning the majority depends on Masters, Dr. Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania, and Herschel Walker in Georgia.

Sen. Grassley Will Not Support Graham’s 15-Week Abortion Ban

Sen. Grassley Will Not Support Graham's 15-Week Abortion Ban (Newsmax)

By Charlie McCarthy | Friday, 07 October 2022 01:10 PM EDT

Iowa GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley said he would vote against a bill calling for a national 15-week abortion ban.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. last month introduced legislation that would impose a national 15-week ban on abortions.

During a televised debate with Democrat opponent Mike Franken on Thursday night, Grassley was asked whether he supported Graham's bill.

"I would vote no," said Grassley, who last year co-sponsored Graham's bill that banned abortions after 20 weeks.

In the wake of the Supreme Court, in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, striking down the constitutional right to an abortion, Grassley said the issue should be handled at the state level.

Grassley, seeking an eighth term, led Franken, a retired Navy admiral, 47% to 39%, according to a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll conducted in July.

"That margin is narrower than in any Iowa Poll matchup involving Grassley since he was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1980," the Register reported.

Although former President Barack Obama carried Iowa in both 2008 and 2012, the state voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020.

Only nine Senate Republicans have sponsored Graham's proposal of a 15-week abortion ban, except when the life of the mother is at risk or in cases of rape or incest, The Hill reported.

In January, 2021, 43 Senate GOP members co-sponsored Graham's 20-week abortion ban bill.

Graham introduced his 15-week ban without consulting with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. — who wasn't thrilled at not being given a heads up, The Hill said.

The South Carolina senator's move shifted attention to the abortion debate from inflation, crime, and the southern border.

Last month, McConnell signaled that he does not plan to bring Graham's bill to the floor even if Republicans win back the Senate majority.

"With regard to his bill, you'll have to ask him about it. In terms of scheduling, I think most of the members of my conference prefer that this be dealt with at the state level," McConnell told reporters, The Hill reported.

Democrat strategist Brad Bannon insisted to the Washington Examiner that Graham's bill is "political suicide for the GOP, [because] it's clear in polling that the Dobbs decision drove many young people and women away towards the Democratic Party in the midterms."

MAGA Inc Senate Ads Running in Pennsylvania, Ohio

MAGA Inc Senate Ads Running in Pennsylvania, Ohio (Newsmax)

By Charlie McCarthy | Friday, 07 October 2022 12:20 PM EDT

A PAC sanctioned by former President Donald Trump launched video ads for U.S. Senate races in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The Pennsylvania ad targets Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, who's in a tight race against Republican Mehmet Oz.

MAGA Inc.'s new ad, which was tweeted Thursday night by Save America Director of Communications Taylor Budowich, focuses on Fetterman casting the only vote in favor of clemency for man convicted of murder.

"He brutally murdered his girlfriend's mother with a pair of scissors. Convicted of first-degree murder, John Brookins is serving a life sentence. John Fetterman was the only member of the pardon board to vote for Brookins' release — the only vote," a speaker says in the video ad.

"John Fetterman wants ruthless killers, muggers, and rapists back on our streets, and he wants them back now. John Fetterman is dangerous."

Meanwhile, Republican J.D. Vance is trying to defeat Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, and succeed retiring Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio.

The Washington Free Beacon's Joe Gabriel Simonson on Friday tweeted a "first look" at the MAGA Inc. video ad, which begins by showing Ryan at an event attended by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

"'Sen. Schumer's here and I want to make sure he's my future boss so I gotta such up a little bit here,'" Ryan says before a voiceover speaker is heard.

"Tim Ryan voted the liberal party line 100% of the time. Giving stimulus checks to illegal immigrants. Hitting middle-class families with tax hikes, Creating sky-high inflation. Driving our economy to the brink of recession. 'I gotta suck up a little bit here.' Did he ever."

AdImpact Politics tweeted Thursday that MAGA Inc., sanctioned by Trump, began its campaign spending by placing broadcast reservations in Ohio with $276,000 in Columbus and Cleveland.

Budowich, a former senior adviser on Trump's 2020 campaign, oversees MAGA Inc., Politico reported. Longtime Republican operative Chris LaCivita, who previously ran the pro-Trump super PAC Preserve America, will be chief strategist.

"President Trump is committed to saving America, and Make America Great Again, Inc., will ensure that is achieved at the ballot box in November and beyond," Budowich told Politico last month.
