New York Times Censors Dick Morris Book on Trump Dick Morris. (Newmax)

The left-leaning New York Times' bestsellers list appears to be censoring Newsmax host Dick Morris and his new bestseller, "The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback."

"The Return" is topping several bestseller lists, including Amazon, Publisher's Weekly and others, but is nowhere to be found on the Times' non-fiction list.

Based on retail sales compiled by Bookscan for the week of August 28th, "The Return" should be number four on the Times' list.

But Morris' book is nowhere to be found with more than 4,000 book sales for the week. But a book co-authored by Oprah Winfrey had less than 3,000 book sales and made the list at number nine.

And the number ten Times' bestseller, "An Immense World" by Ed Yong, a book about animal perceptions, drew less than half of Morris' actual book sales.

Bookscan showed "The Return" with actual sales greater than 11 other books on the Times' non-fiction list for that week. Morris' latest book predicts that former President Donald Trump not only will run for president again in 2024, but also that he'll overcome big odds to win.

"The New York Times would not be caught dead promoting a book praising Donald Trump and calling for his reelection on its bestseller list, but any book criticizing Trump is guaranteed top billing," Morris told Newsmax Tuesday.

Conservatives have long criticized the Times bestseller list as having a liberal bias and de-ranking right-leaning titles.

In 2017, conservative publisher Regnery Publishing said it no longer would recognize the Times' bestseller lists in their promotion, because actual book sales showed continuous bias and favoritism toward liberal authors and a lack of transparency on how the list is compiled, Newsweek reported.

In "The Return," Morris said Trump would face legal troubles because the Biden administration is so fearful of the 45th president returning to the White House.

Trump has praised "The Return" and recently went on his Trump Social platform calling the book "a fantastic political analysis."

"Dick Morris is a #1 New York Times Bestselling Author, who is also a true political pro," Trump wrote, adding, "Great book, get it now!!"

Morris, who was a consultant to Trump in the 2016 and 2020 campaigns, hosts "Dick Morris Democracy" on Newsmax.

Wisconsin Judge Doesn't Suspend His Absentee Ballot Ruling (Getty Images)

A Wisconsin judge on Tuesday sided with Republicans and declined to suspend his ruling from last week that state law does not allow election clerks to fill in missing information on witness certification envelopes that contain absentee ballots.

The ruling was expected to be quickly appealed by Democrats, who raised the concern that voters will face “whiplash” with potentially changing rules after absentee ballots are sent next week. The case is expected to ultimately end up before the conservative-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court, but it's unclear whether there could be a ruling before the midterm election that's just eight weeks away.

The lawsuit is the latest move by Republicans to tighten restrictions on absentee voting in the swing state where Democratic Gov. Tony Evers and Republican Sen. Ron Johnson are on the ballot in November.

Waukesha County Circuit Judge Michael Aprahamian on Sept. 7 granted GOP motions and ordered that the state's bipartisan elections commission to revoke its guidance to clerks telling them they can fill in missing information on the witness certificate.

He declined on Tuesday to put that ruling on hold, as requested by the Wisconsin Elections Commission, the Waukesha County Democratic Party and the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.

The judge said in denying the stay request that the Republican Party of Waukesha County that brought the lawsuit, as well as the Legislature, have a much stronger likelihood of success than do Democrats.

Jeffrey Mandell, attorney for the Waukesha County Democratic Party, argued that the stay should be issued to avoid creating “voter whiplash” with changing guidelines for accepting absentee ballots so close to the election. He noted that the guidance has been in effect for the past 12 statewide elections.

But the judge rejected that argument, saying the guidance in question only affects what clerks and local election officials can do with a ballot, not instructions to voters on what information needs to be on the ballot certificate.

“I don’t think that whiplash argument holds any sway," Aprahamian said.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission published guidance in 2016 telling clerks they could fill in missing address information, known as ballot curing. The practice was unchallenged until after Donald Trump's narrow loss in 2020 when nearly 1.4 million voters cast absentee ballots and COVID-19 vaccines weren’t available yet.

The judge ruled that Wisconsin's 1,800-plus local elections officials do not have the authority under the law to modify absentee ballot certificates, nor does the state elections commission have the right to order that they take that action. The elections commission scheduled a meeting for Wednesday afternoon to react to the ruling.

Clerks were rushing to interpret what the decision meant for which ballots they could accept.

Steven Kilpatrick, attorney for the elections commission, said the court’s action prevents the commission from telling clerks what constitutes an address that can be accepted on an absentee ballot witness certificate.

“Now there is nothing for the clerks to be guided by,” Kilpatrick said. “That results in uncertainty as to what a complete address is and increases the risk that some ballots will not be counted, without the fault of the elector.”

The judge on Tuesday said he made no decision on what constitutes an address and no one has asked him to rule on what happens to ballots with an incomplete address. The only issue before him was whether the guidance directing clerks to add missing information was legal, the judge said.

Clerks only address problems on the witness certificate, which doubles as an envelope, and not the ballot itself.

Rep. Maloney Asks If Any 'Unaccounted For' Trump Records Exist

House Committee on Oversight and Reform Chair Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., asked the National Archives and Records Administration in a letter Tuesday if there are still "unaccounted for" documents that may be in the possession of former President Donald Trump.

"In light of the serious risk that Mr. Trump may still be retaining sensitive government records at Mar-a-Lago or his other properties, I urge NARA to seek a personal certification from Donald Trump that he has surrendered all presidential records that he illegally removed from the White House after leaving office," wrote Maloney, a Democrat.

"I also ask that the agency conduct an urgent review of presidential records recovered from the Trump White House to assess whether presidential records remain unaccounted for and potentially in the possession of the former president."

The letter comes after 30 FBI armed agents swarmed Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on Aug. 8 looking for documents the National Archives claim Trump took after leaving the White House in January 2021.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said he "personally" signed off on an application for the federal search warrant executed by the FBI, which yielded "more than 11,000 government records" still in Trump's possession at the resort, according to a press release from the committee Tuesday.

"The Committee is concerned that, given this pattern of conduct, Mr. Trump may continue to retain presidential records at non-secure locations, including classified material that could endanger our nation's security and other important records documenting Mr. Trump's activities at the White House," the Chairwoman wrote. "NARA's staff recently informed the Committee that the agency is not certain whether all presidential records are in its custody."

U.S. District Court Judge Aileen M. Cannon approved Trump's request for a special master to review the seized materials, and the Department of Justice is signaling that it agrees with Trump's candidate, former New York federal court judge Raymond J. Dearie, to take on the job, the Washington Post reported Monday.

If approved for the role by Cannon, Dearie will be tasked with going through the materials taken by the FBI and determine what they could use in a potential prosecution of the former president, and which would be considered personal or privileged, such as documents relating to attorney-client discussions.

Currently, Cannon barred the Justice Department from using any of the materials in a potential prosecution until the special master could review them and make a determination, according to the report.

Former New York City Police Department Commissioner Bernie Kerik tells Newsmax he was stunned to be included in the approximately 40 subpoenas issued to people close to former president Donald Trump and that the matter was leaked to the media, but he will comply with the demand for information.

"It stunned me that the DOJ or the FBI leaked it to The New York Times, No. 1," Kerik commented to Newsmax's "Wake Up America" Tuesday. "It also stunned me that the prosecutors out of D.C., from the Capital siege unit, sent FBI agents to my house knowing that I was represented by counsel."

The Times reported that Kerik and his friend, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, had promoted claims of voter fraud, but the former commissioner said that isn't true, as he had "evidence of voter fraud."

"I testified for 8.5 hours before the Jan. 6 committee," said Kerik. "I gave them evidence. If there's anything they should be investigating, it should be election fraud, because we have overwhelming evidence."

Kerik's attorney, Timothy Parlatore, told the Times that his client had offered to grant an interview voluntarily, and Kerik told Newsmax that he'll cooperate with the terms of the subpoena.

Kerik on Tuesday said that when the agents came to serve him with the subpoena, he told them personally that he has no problems with the FBI's agents, as he has "great admiration" for them, but that he has "no trust, confidence, or anything with regard to the DOJ and the FBI leadership."

The agents, he said, showed up at his house when he was out of state, and they "scared the hell out of my daughter and said they were looking for me. They wanted to speak to me."

He added that an agent called him on his cellphone, and he told him he'd meet them the next day at his house.

"I'll repeat this again," said Kerik. "The agents were courteous. There were professionals. He said 'I would like to speak to you about your time investigating, and working for the president.' I told straight up, 'Listen, I have an admiration for you guys. I have no trust in faith and confidence in your leadership, which I think is off the charts. I think it's political. And I will not be speaking to you.'"

He continued that the agent then handed him the subpoena "and the thing that shocked me about this subpoena is there are probably more than 120 people mentioned in that subpoena who I don't know. Probably 90% of them."

He was shocked to recognize most of the names including "every single one of Donald Trump's attorneys, every single one of them, that was on the legal team. Every one of them."

Kerik on Tuesday also insisted that FBI Director Christopher Wray, a Trump appointee, is not the right person to be running the FBI.

"The people at the top of the FBI and the Justice Department, based on what I'm seeing based on that subpoena, based on the targeting of every single person around President Trump, including most importantly, his lawyers, that's insane," Kerik said.

Senate to Probe Former US Attorney's Claims of Trump DOJ Interference

The Senate Judiciary Committee will investigate claims that the Department of Justice under the Trump administration tried to interfere with the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office, the Washington Examiner reported.

Committee Chair Dick Durbin, D-Ill., sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday to say the panel will probe whether a former U.S. attorney resisted pressure from top officials to prosecute critics of former President Donald Trump and protect the former president's allies.

The Examiner obtained a copy of the letter in which Durbin wrote that if found to be true, these claims could prove "multiple instances of political interference in the Department's investigative and prosecutorial decisions."

In his letter, Durbin requested five groups of materials, including all documents and communications between anyone at the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office and officials in the U.S. Office of the Attorney General and Deputy General and/or the Criminal Division referring to prosecuting former President Barack Obama's White House counsel Gregory Craig, the Examiner said.

The committee wants materials no later than Oct. 3.

Berman, former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, wrote "Holding the Line: Inside the Nation's Preeminent US Attorney's Office and Its Battle with the Trump Justice Department." The book is set for release Tuesday.

In the book, Berman says Craig was prosecuted without grounds before the 2018 midterm elections for allegedly violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

Berman added that his deputy was asked by Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General Edward O'Callaghan to prosecute Craig, but Berman denied the request.

"Mr. Berman claims that Department officials then 'peddled' the investigation to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, which indicted and tried Craig — who was acquitted by a jury in fewer than five hours," Durbin's letter said, the Examiner reported.

Berman also wrote that Trump's DOJ pressured his office to remove reference to the former president from the document charging his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen with campaign finance crimes and lying to Congress.

After Cohen's conviction, administrators attempted to remove any mention of then-Attorney General Bill Barr trying to reverse the conviction and end related inquiries.

Berman also wrote that the DOJ pressed his office to prosecute former Secretary of State John Kerry over activity surrounding the Iran nuclear deal. Kerry helped negotiate the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, of which Trump later pulled out.

Berman volunteered for the Trump campaign in 2016 and transition before serving as a U.S. attorney under the former president for over two years, the Examiner said.

Berman was fired from his position in June 2020 by Barr after the U.S. attorney had opened several investigations into Trump's allies.

"At the time I was fired, the Southern District of New York was working on a couple politically sensitive cases," Berman said Monday on MSNBC.

"One of those cases is the [former White House chief strategist] Steve Bannon 'we build the wall' case, and we were very close to indicting that case around the time I got fired, and Barr knew about the case."

Vice President Kamala Harris, with her claims that the U.S.-Mexico border is secure and blaming the Trump administration for the border crisis, is acting like a "knucklehead," and she and the White House are "just lying" when it comes to immigration, Rep. Andy Biggs said on Newsmax on Tuesday.
"It was shocking, but not shocking," the Arizona Republican said on Newsmax's "Wake Up America." "It was shocking in the same sense anybody would be such a knucklehead, and I hate to say that about a vice president, but that's the truth."

Harris told NBC News's Meet the Press Sunday that there are "a lot of problems that we are trying to fix given the deterioration that happened over the last four years.
"We also have to put into place a law and a plan for a pathway for citizenship for the millions of people who are here and are prepared to do what is legally required to gain citizenship," Harris said. "We don't have that in place because people are playing politics in a state like this and Congress."

Biggs said on Newsmax that in the last year of former President Donald Trump's administration, the Yuma sector in Arizona had 9,000 immigrant encounters for the entire year.
"Under the Biden administration, this year alone it's been 340,000," said Biggs. "That's the number that will end up within just a couple of weeks. I've been down there so many times, and Kamala Harris can't even get out of the airport with a margarita in her hand to go to the border."
President Joe Biden also won't visit the border, said Biggs, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and others in the administration "don't understand."
"They're just lying," said Biggs. "Yuma's getting 1,000 people a day who are being encountered, not to mention the thousands a day that come across the border and get away … they're bringing in drugs like you can't believe. They're smuggling humans. It's inhumane."
And now that the administration is no longer using the Title 42 provisions the Trump administration was using to screen out people, "now they're letting everybody in," said Biggs.
The situation is the top issue for voters in Arizona, coming in at a "dead heat" with inflation and gas prices, said Biggs.
"I think people are tired of what's happening in Washington, D.C., as well, but those are the top issues," said Biggs, noting that he recently led another trip to the border with members of Congress.
Meanwhile, Arizona is facing some tough election battles in the midterms, including with Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly in a tight race with GOP nominee Blake Masters to hold his seat, and with the governor's race, which is pitting GOP nominee Kari Lake and Democrat nominee Katie Hobbs.
Kelly has been hesitant to say if he'll appear with Biden in campaign events, according to local news reports, but Biggs insisted that Kelly "votes with Biden on everything."
"About two months ago, he started running ads, saying that it takes courage to stand up to the president and your own party, and the fact is he's at 100% Joe Biden voter," said Biggs. "He votes with Biden on everything, but now he's somehow a border hawk. He wants to bring down gas prices and get energy independent. All of that is just bogus. So I think it was a parody. It was like watching a Saturday night live skit or something like that."
But Biden, even though the presidential election is two years away, is still on the ballot this fall, said Biggs.

Peter Navarro to Newsmax: Biden Will Induce a Recession (Newsmax/"Eric Bolling The Balance")

Speaking to Newsmax ahead of the Labor Department's Consumer Price Index report, former White House trade adviser Peter Navarro tells Newsmax that the Biden administration will induce a recession, keeping wages down, in order to control inflation.

"The strategy here folks," Navarro says in his "Eric Bolling The Balance" appearance, "the way Biden and the Fed are gonna control out-of-control inflation is induce a recession, and keep your wages down."

"There's some estimates that just came out," Navarro adds, "that says it's gonna take two years to reduce inflation by 2%, and those two years the unemployment rate is gonna be close to 7%."

President Donald Trump's former trade adviser notes that one of the problems with the economy is the pandemic policies that continue to hamper supply chains.

"The problem is that our supply chains are broken, our supply chains are offshore, and therefore even more broken … Until we return to strategic energy dominance … we're going to be paying more and more and more for our cars or gasoline or natural gas."

"So there's all these forces gathering," Navarro concludes, "that Biden doesn't want to tell you about: he's looking at November. He's going to try to slip things by you. But folks, you know what's happening here. You're getting poorer by the day. Even if your wages are going up, inflation is going up faster."

Jon Voight on His Newsmax 'Abraham Accords' Special With Trump (Newsmax/''Eric Bolling The Balance'')

The Newsmax exclusive "The Abraham Accords" with former President Donald Trump debuts Sunday, hosted by conservative actor Jon Voight, detailing the historic move toward peace in the Middle East and the "grace" and "humility" of the former president.

"It's an unbelievable thing, a movement towards peace of this kind; it was unprecedented," Voight told Monday's "Eric Bolling The Balance" previewing the special presentation that will air Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern time exclusively on Newsmax.

"It's really been quite a remarkable thing what happened — peace for the first time in that area was brought forth."

The special brings an in-depth interview with Trump and the Abraham Accords, which Voight said the mainstream media has tried to downplay to avoid praising him.

"When they signed the accords, the mainstream media, of course, didn't want to do anything to encourage any praise for Trump, so they kept it quiet," Voight told host Eric Bolling.

Despite avoiding the topic in this country, the achievements have been noted in the Middle East.

"All of the Middle East is opening up in this way because of this gesture, and of course it took years to do and it was very, very clever," Voight continued. "And in the piece, you'll see some of the architecture of that, and it's quite wonderful, wonderful to celebrate it. And what we did with this was we tell the story briefly of the history of the land of Israel.

"And President Trump was so embracing of this opportunity — just [to] sit down and talk about it, and yet he did an awful lot of listening."

The world is going to see a side of Trump they have not seen before, Voight promised.

"You'll see a side to him that you've never seen before, or most people haven't seen, a side of patience, of grace, even humility," Voight said. "I must say it's a very beautiful side to him that is exposed here, because most of the time he's talking about very rough stuff, and he's being attacked quite a lot. So this is a different kind of time with him.

"It'll be a revelation to many people. There is no coincidence that this happened under Donald Trump."

The contrast with the Biden administration is apparent, as revisiting Iran nuclear deal talks is putting the region back in peril, according to Voight.

"That part of the world is very difficult, and Iran is a great danger to Israel and has been," He said. "And we as a country during prior administrations have not been not been helpful in that way.

"But I'm a person who thinks on the positive, and I pray and I hope that we'll get through this, but those accords are monumental, and they do stand as the way to the way to proceed forward."

Voight hailed the special presentation brought to Newsmax viewers through a cooperative agreement between Voight, Trump, JLTV's (Jewish Life Television's) Stephen Paul and Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy.

"JLTV and Newsmax got together because Chris Ruddy and the owner of Jewish Life Television is a very close friend of Chris, and so they got together to produce this thing and it's quite an unusual event in itself," Voight said.

The Newsmax exclusive "The Abraham Accords" with former President Donald Trump debuts Sunday, hosted by conservative actor Jon Voight, detailing the historic move toward peace in the Middle East and the "grace" and "humility" of the former president.

"It's an unbelievable thing, a movement towards peace of this kind; it was unprecedented," Voight told Monday's "Eric Bolling The Balance" previewing the special presentation that will air Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern time exclusively on Newsmax.

"It's really been quite a remarkable thing what happened — peace for the first time in that area was brought forth."

The special brings an in-depth interview with Trump and the Abraham Accords, which Voight said the mainstream media has tried to downplay to avoid praising him.

"When they signed the accords, the mainstream media, of course, didn't want to do anything to encourage any praise for Trump, so they kept it quiet," Voight told host Eric Bolling.

Despite avoiding the topic in this country, the achievements have been noted in the Middle East.

"All of the Middle East is opening up in this way because of this gesture, and of course it took years to do and it was very, very clever," Voight continued. "And in the piece, you'll see some of the architecture of that, and it's quite wonderful, wonderful to celebrate it. And what we did with this was we tell the story briefly of the history of the land of Israel.

"And President Trump was so embracing of this opportunity — just [to] sit down and talk about it, and yet he did an awful lot of listening."

The world is going to see a side of Trump they have not seen before, Voight promised.

"You'll see a side to him that you've never seen before, or most people haven't seen, a side of patience, of grace, even humility," Voight said. "I must say it's a very beautiful side to him that is exposed here, because most of the time he's talking about very rough stuff, and he's being attacked quite a lot. So this is a different kind of time with him.

"It'll be a revelation to many people. There is no coincidence that this happened under Donald Trump."

The contrast with the Biden administration is apparent, as revisiting Iran nuclear deal talks is putting the region back in peril, according to Voight.

"That part of the world is very difficult, and Iran is a great danger to Israel and has been," He said. "And we as a country during prior administrations have not been not been helpful in that way.

"But I'm a person who thinks on the positive, and I pray and I hope that we'll get through this, but those accords are monumental, and they do stand as the way to the way to proceed forward."

Voight hailed the special presentation brought to Newsmax viewers through a cooperative agreement between Voight, Trump, JLTV's (Jewish Life Television's) Stephen Paul and Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy.

"JLTV and Newsmax got together because Chris Ruddy and the owner of Jewish Life Television is a very close friend of Chris, and so they got together to produce this thing and it's quite an unusual event in itself," Voight said.

Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan on Monday cautioned that courts look political and forfeit legitimacy when they needlessly overturn precedent and decide more than they have to.

Speaking less than three months after a five-justice conservative majority overturned Roe v. Wade's constitutional guarantee of abortion access, Kagan said the public's view of the court can be damaged especially when changes in its membership lead to big changes in the law.

She stressed that she was not talking about any particular decision or even a string of rulings with which she disagreed.

Still, her remarks were similar to points made in dissenting opinions she wrote or contributed to in recent months, including in the abortion case.

"Judges create legitimacy problems for themselves … when they instead stray into places where it looks like they're an extension of the political process or when they’re imposing their own personal preferences," Kagan said at Temple Emanu-El in New York. The event was livestreamed.

The 62-year-old New Yorker struck a different tone from Chief Justice John Roberts, who spoke to a gathering of judges and lawyers in Colorado Springs, Colorado, last week.

"Simply because people disagree with an opinion is not a basis for questioning the legitimacy of the court," Roberts said.

The chief justice has been a consistent defender of the court's legitimacy against complaints that the court is not much different from the political branches of the government.

But Kagan said the court risks damaging its own legitimacy when big changes in the law follow changes in the court's membership.

The public has a right to expect, she said, "that changes in personnel don’t send the entire legal system up for grabs." Kagan joined the court in 2010, an appointee of President Barack Obama.

Three of the justices who are part of the court's conservative majority were appointed by President Donald Trump. They voted to overturn Roe, and also imposed limits on the Biden administration's efforts to fight climate change, expanded gun rights and weakened the separation between church and state.

In the court term that begins next month, the court will take up a challenge to the use of race in college admissions, just six years after the court reaffirmed affirmative action in higher education.

Kagan also briefly addressed the unprecedented leak of the draft opinion in the abortion case, saying it makes the justices' jobs much harder "when you might wake up tomorrow morning and there's an opinion on the front page of the newspapers."

She said she does not know if the investigation Roberts ordered in May has determined the source of the leak.

President Joe Biden said Monday said if Democrats lose Congress after the upcoming midterm elections, it's going to be a “difficult two years,” and he's going to be spending a lot of time “with the veto pen.”

Biden was speaking at a Democratic National Committee reception in a swanky Boston apartment following his speech about his administration's efforts at ending cancer “as we know it.”

In the starkest terms yet, the president laid out how important the upcoming November midterm elections are. The U.S. Senate right now is split 50-50 with Vice President Kamala Harris as the tie-breaker. The House is 219-211 in favor of Democrats.

“If we lose the House and we lose the Senate it’s going to be a really difficult two years,” he told a crowd of about 30 donors and guests. "I’ll be spending more time with the veto pen than getting anything done.”

Republican National Committee Ronna McDaniel said Biden remained focused on "an out-of-touch and divisive agenda, one that benefits the wealthy, while struggling Americans pay more.”

In his remarks, the president also took aim at the “ MAGA Republicans,” continuing his sharp attacks against former Republican President Donald Trump and his supporters, an effort that has emboldened Democrats across the country ahead of the election.

He questioned the Republican platform and touted his own achievements but came back to how the Democrats couldn’t “afford to lose this off-year election.”

Monday's gathering raised about $2 million. The DNC said it has so far raised more than $255 million this cycle and more than $92 million so far this year, the most at this point in any year.

• U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon's decision to grant the Trump team's special master request will be sustained, after the DOJ appeal.
• There won't be enough incriminating documents to formally indict Trump in a grand-jury setting.
• The Republicans will claim the majority in the House and Senate chambers for the upcoming midterm elections (Nov. 8). Right now, the Democrats control the House and Senate.
• Starting as early as January 2023, House GOP investigators will put the FBI and DOJ under further scrutiny, in terms of explaining or justifying the FBI's Aug. 8 raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, along with the House hearings on the Jan. 6, 2021 unrest at the Capitol.

"And these Mar-a-Lago documents [that Trump possesses] will be Exhibits A, B, and C in the case against the FBI," quips Morris.

Regarding the document dispute, Morris believes Trump's legal team has a strong case of historical precedent on their side — due to the wide-ranging scope of the Presidential Records Act.

Morris also asserts the FBI had a specific reason in raiding Trump's home last month, on a day when the former president would knowingly be out of town.

"There is so much stuff the FBI did" during Trump's time in office — from the Russia "hoax" to the "phony" FISA warrants which led to spying at Trump Tower — "and [Trump] believes those documents will prove this," says Morris.

The above statement then prompted Morris to add the FBI wants to possess the potential game-changing documents "not to use them against Trump … but to stop Trump from using [past FBI documents] against them."

A Texas woman has been arrested on federal charges for allegedly threatening U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who approved the special master appointment in the ongoing document dispute between the Justice Department (DOJ) and former President Donald Trump.

According to the Sept. 6 affidavit, an FBI agent's report says that Tiffani Shea Gish left three threatening and vulgar voicemails for Cannon using the pseudonym Evelyn Salt, a character in the movie "Salt."

Gish reportedly told Cannon that "Donald Trump has been disqualified long ago, and he's marked for assassination, you're helping him, ma'am."

The accused woman faces two charges related to threatening a federal official. Also, Gish has been ordered to be detained, pending trial after the initial court appearance.

Five full weeks have passed since the FBI's Aug. 8 raid of Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, where federal officials reportedly seized 11 sets of highly sensitive materials which may have contained "classified" or "top secret" markings.

However, it's still unknown how many, if any, of the presidential documents being stored at Trump's Florida home had been previously declassified, prior to Trump leaving the White House in January 2021.

Last week, Judge Cannon granted the Trump team's request for a special master to execute an independent review of the presidential materials in question.

The DOJ is currently appealing Cannon's ruling.

According to the criminal complaint involving Gish, the accused apparently suffers from "severe mental impairments with symptoms including paranoia and delusions."

Also, the criminal complaint says Gish admitted to making the calls and telling authorities she was the only one with access to the phone that left messages with Judge Cannon.

According to Axios, the other Gish voicemails earmarked for Judge Cannon included the following statements:

Message #1: "I'm also Trump's hitman, so consider it a bullet to your head from Donald Trump himself."

Message #2: "You f***up one f****** thing for me … I'm going to take my ass to f****** Florida, and I'm going to personally throw a bullet to your f****** head in front of your kids."

On Tuesday, Gish will reportedly participate in a competency hearing.

Justice Department Says It Would Support Trump-Backed Candidate as Special Master (Getty)

The Justice Department on Monday said it would support Raymond Dearie, a candidate backed by former President Donald Trump, for the role of independent arbiter, known as a special master, to examine the contents of classified documents seized by the FBI from Trump's Florida estate last month.

It backed either of its own two candidates or Dearie, it said in a court filing, but rejected a second Trump pick, Paul Huck.
